Election tribunal declares NA-46 polls null and void

The petitioners had alleged rigging in NA-46 and had claimed that Nasir's success was engineered.
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – KPK Election tribunal has declared NA-46 polls null and void and ordered a re-election in the constituency.
As per details, independent candidate Nasir Khan had won May 11 polls from NA-46 Khyber Agency.
Senator Hamidullah Jan Afridi and another candidate who had contended for the seat, Iqbal Afridi, from Pakistan the Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) filed a petition in the tribunal, requesting to declare the polls null and void.
The petitioners had alleged rigging in NA-46 and had claimed that Nasir Khan s success was engineered.
After hearing the case, the tribunal ordered repolling in the constituency, declaring the election results as null and void.
The tribunal also requested the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to make arrangements for a re-election in the constituency.
