Three killed, several injured as blasts target Rangers in Karachi

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - At three people including two Rangers personnel were killed and more than 10 sustained injuries in three separate blasts in Pakistan s southern port city of Karachi on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
In the latest attack, two people were killed and six including three paramilitary troops, Rangers, were injured when a bomb went off near the Rangers Headquarters in Nazimabad area of Karachi, the capital city of the country s south Sindh province.
Authurities confirmed the explosion was carried out by a suicide bomber who blew up himself when security personnel stopped him at a security picket near the Rangers Headquarters.
Few hours earlier, two consecutive cracker attacks on a check post killed a Rangers official and left six others injured in Nazimabad area.
The injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwehile, law enforcement personnel cordoned the area and kicked off a search operation.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Meanwhile on Wednesday morning, police and rangers arrested over 20 suspected militants in raids in various areas of the city.
