NA-69, PK-50 by-elections: Polling ends, counting underway
Three candidates are in the run for NA-69 including Aziz Khan of PML (N) and Umar Aslam of PTI.
KHUSHAB (Web Desk) - Polling in the by-elections of NA 69 Khushab and PK-50 Haripur has been concluded, while counting of votes has been started.
In NA 69 Khushab‚ two hundred and ninety-eight polling stations have been established. Forty-nine of these polling stations have been declared highly sensitive.
Three candidates are in the run for NA-69 Khushab including Aziz Khan of PML (N) and Umar Aslam of PTI. There are 327,335 registered voters in the constituency.
In PK-50 Haripur‚ one hundred and sixteen polling stations have been established in the constituency.
While in PK-50, PTI’s Akbar Ayub Khan and PML-N’s Qazi Asad are contesting. There are 153,374 registered voters in this constituency.
Seventy-five of these polling stations have been declared sensitive and five most sensitive.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure security and avoid any untoward incident during the polling.
