Voting underway in Lahore Bar Association elections
Candidates are contesting the elections in a close competition.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Voting in Lahore Bar Association elections is underway, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
There are total 19 candidates contesting elections this year for the slots of president, vice president and general secretaries.
About 13,134 members would exercise their vote power to elect representatives of legal fraternity in the annual elections.
The professional group led by Hamid Khan has fielded Chaudhry Muhammad Ishtiaq as its candidate for president, while the Asma Jahangir group has nominated GA Khan Tariq.
The voting process will continue till 5:00pm.
