Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has called the meeting of Federal Cabinet at 11am at the PM Secretariat today. Fate of rental power plants would be decided in the meeting. Sources said that the Cabinet will review the report of Asian Development Bank on rental power plants. Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen will give briefing to the participants on ADBs report about rental power plants. ADB said in the report that electricity price would have to increase by 45 percent to get rid of loadhsedding in 6 months while 31 percent electricity price would have to increase to stamp out loadshedding in a year.
