COAS Raheel Sharif meets with ISAF commander

Commander ISAF General Joseph F Dunford and Army Chief Raheel Sharif discussed host of issues.

RAWALPINDI (web Desk) – Pakistan Army chief General Raheel Sharif met Gen. Joseph F. Dunford on Monday and discussed coordination along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

According to ISPR, during the meeting on Monday, Commander ISAF General Joseph F. Dunford and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif discussed host of issues.

They exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and ways and means to strengthen cooperation on Pak-Afghan border. Both agreed on improving communications over both sides of the border.

It was a routine coordination visit, the two discussed matters of mutual interest with particular focus on Pakistan-Afghanistan Border coordination mechanism, the ISPR statement said.

Meanwhile the ISAF chief along with Lieutenant General Gregory A Biscone, Office of Defense Representative Pakistan (ODRP) called on General Rashad Mahmood, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC).

General Joseph F. Dunford remained with the Chairman for some time and discussed matters related to mutual interest.
