President Mamnoon Hussain terminates PEMRA chief
President Mamnoon Hussain took the decision on the advice of PM Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Mamnoon Hussain has terminated the services of Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Chaudhry Rashid.
According to spokesperson of President House, the president took the decision on the advice of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, adding that the appointment of the PEMRA chief was illegal and in violation of the Supreme Court's guidelines.
