Khurshid Shah elected as PAC Chairman
The opposition leader says no one will be allowed to challenge the authority of PAC.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Wednesday was elected unopposed as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee on Wednesday.
Mehmeed Bashir Virk proposed name of Syed Khurshid Shah as next chairman of PAC. All members of the committee unanimously endorsed his name for the Chairman.
Talking to newsmen outside Parliament House Public Accounts Committee Chairman Syed Khurshid Shah said that the body would be run in an impartial way.
He said that transparency in the financial matters and accountability of bureaucracy would be encouraged. Khurshid Shah urged to work jointly for ending corruption from the country.
