14 missing persons to be produced in court today

SC has ordered Defense Ministry to produce 14 out of the 35 missing persons at 9:30AM today.

ISLAMABAD (Online): At least 14 missing persons would be produced before the Supreme Court today (Saturday).

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif while speaking to media persons after appearing before the apex court bench which ordered the minister to produce 14 missing persons on Saturday and 11 on Monday. The court later adjourned the hearing till Dec 9.

Khawaja Asif said that some of the missing persons would be produced today before the court while others would be traced in couple of days. “We are making our all out efforts to produce all the missing persons in the court.”

Earlier, a three-judge bench, comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S.Khawaja and Justice Amir Hani Muslim, resumed the hearing of petitions about recovery of missing persons and law-and-order situation in Balochistan.

The Defence minister did not produce any of the missing persons but instead submitted details of 35 undeclared detainees to the court, claiming that none of them is in army’s detention.
