JAMSHORO (Dunya News) - A partial strike was observed in different areas of Sindh on the call of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) against the arrest of party workers and Pakistan Protection Ordinance 2013.

A shutter-down and wheel-jam strike was observed in most parts of Sindh including Kotri, Bhan, Saeedabad and Sehwan Sharif on Friday.

Most of the business outlets and shops remained closed today while thin attendance in public and private schools was reported.

Traffic also remained off the roads following an announcement of strike by JSQM.

Earlier on Thursday evening, a bus was allegedly torched by JSQM’s activists. The party announced strike after Rangers arrested central joint secretary Basheer Ahmed Khaskheli.

The workers took to the streets and resorted to aerial firing near Safoora Chowrangi.

Meanwhile, the party spokesperson told media that Khaskheli was arrested by Rangers aand his whereabouts were still unknown.
