Security tightened at Punjab University
Section 144 was imposed in the city on Monday.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Situation remains tense at Punjab University on Tuesday, whereas, heavy contingents of police have been deployed around the campus.
Police will present arrested students in court to seek their remand.
Yesterda, PU students blocked roads at various points to protest against police raids at university’s hostel no. 16.
Enraged students also torched a bus on Wahdat Road.
Police registered case and arrested more than hundred protesting students. They will be presented in anti-terrorism court today.
On the other hand, spokespersons for student union announced to continue protest till the release of students and construction of a new hostel.
