Prime Minister (PM) Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that the country cannot afford political confrontation. Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that he would continue to cooperate with the government to strengthen democracy and ensure the independence of the institutions.PM has called on CM Punjab in Lahore where it was decided to bridge the gap between PPP and PML-N and to strengthen democracy in Pakistan. Since the detailed verdict on NRO, todays meeting was the first high powered meeting between the leaders of the two parities and it has been decided to restrict the ministers of both parties to avoid giving unreasonable statements and absurd comments against each other so that reconciliation atmosphere could prevail.PM said that due to political conflict system could be endanger of instability. Institutions should be made stronger at all cost. CM said that the government should implement NRO in true spirit.
