SC reprimands law enforcers for failure to recover missing lawyer
The CJP says all law enforcement agencies have failed to recover a missing lawyer.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of missing lawyer case in SC’s Lahore Registry on Monday.
The police authorities pleaded to the court the grant more time for the recovery of Advocate Zaheer Ahmad Gondal who disappeared from Rawalpindi.
In his remarks, the CJP expressed annoyance over and said that the lawyer disappeared in July but nobody knew where he was.
He said that the court would take up the matter in detail as supremacy of law was ruling the country.
The CJP declared the efficiency of police department as zero and ordered police to inform the court toady where the lawyer had gone.
The court adjourned the proceeding for a short time.
