Nawaz meets New Zealand PM John Key
Leaders of both the countries discuss bilateral issues and vowed to enhance cooperation.
COLOMBO (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his New Zealand counterpart John Key met on Saturday and discussed bilateral relations.
Earlier, addressing the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Colombo, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said his government is determined to address the challenges like weak economy‚ energy crisis and militancy.
He said his government is cognizant of these challenge‚ and desires to address them urgently and simultaneously.
The prime minister said a long-term strategy of sustained and inclusive growth will be evolved to provide equal opportunities to all Pakistanis.
He said climate change is a defining reality of our times. It calls for a multi-pronged and revitalized global partnership for generating the needed financing to confront its effects.
Nawaz Sharif also announced a special donation of one hundred thousand dollars for the newly established Commonwealth Youth Council.
