CEC appointment: PM consults party leaders
PM Nawaz Sharif has consulted his party leaders for appointment of new Chief Election Commissioner.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – According to sources, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken into confidence senior leaders of his party on the appointment of new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
The sources further informed that the Prime Minister would shortlist the names very soon which will be sent for consultation to Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah. If both the parties failed to reach a consensus, the names will be forwarded to Parliamentary Committee.
