First phase of Raiwind congregation concludes

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The first phase of the Tableeghi congregation at Raiwind concluded here on Sunday morning with prayers for the solidarity of the country, Muslims and peace in the world.

The participants set off to their hometowns by buses, cars, motorcycles and other vehicles. Caravans from Balochistan, Sindh, south Punjab and several other areas of the country as well as people from more than 50 countries participated in the event.
Elaborate arrangements were made for uninterrupted water and power supply at the venue. A number of stalls and restaurants were also set up around the site. Meanwhile, thousands of students from various educational institutions and Madrassas volunteered their services to make necessary arrangements at the venue.
Hundreds of traffic policemen were deployed on the roads leading towards the venue to ensure smooth flow of traffic and security of the parking lots. Like the previous years, the congregation has been divided into two phases and the first phase has been concluded.
A number of religious scholars and Ulema from Pakistan and abroad addressed different sessions of the three-day congregation.
