Lawyer terms police challan against Musharraf mala fide

Raja Jawad Abbas has referred the case to the court of Additional and Sessions Judge Wajid Ali.


ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) District and Sessions judge Raja Jawad Abbas conducted hearing of Lal Mosque preacher Ghazi Abdul Rashid and his Mother Murder Case on Thursday when the counsel on the part of petitioner raised eight objections regarding the case.

Learned counsel Tariq Assad Advocate argued that police submitted the interim challan against former president Pervez Musharraf with bad intention.

“Despite provision of every kind of evidences against for military dictator, he has not been made part and parcel of the challan”, said learned counsel.

Furthering his statement, he said that the challan moved by police in the court is one-sided.

He added that Chaudhary Shujat, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Aijazul Haqu, Hamid Mir and Umme Hassan are yet to record their statements as a witness.

Raja Jawad Abbas also has referred the case to the court of Additional and Sessions Judge Wajid Ali for further trial and put off next hearing for November 1.
