Tough competition is expected between Hamid Khan Group and Asma Jehangir Group.

ISLAMABAD (Online): The preparations for the annual polls of Supreme Court Bar Association would commence Thursday.

Tough competition is expected between Amanullah Kunharani belonging to Hamid Khan Group and Kamran Murtaza of Asma Jehangir Group for the post of the president while Rab Nawaz is also a presidential candidate.

Unofficially the results would be announced Thursday night however the official results are expected by 9th November.

Polling stations have been established at Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Abbotabad, Peshawar, Multan and Bahawalpur.

Syed Sardar Hussain from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Mohammad Siddiq Hidayatullah who is the vice president in Sindh, Nawaz Khan who is the additional secretary and Ghazanfar Ali Khan who is the finance secretary have already won their seats.

Pakistan Bar Council Vice Chairman, members, present body of SCBA, former Presidents SCBA have already announced their support for Kamran Murtaza

Sources predict a stronghold of Kamran Murtaza in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Bahawalpur, Quetta, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. While a stronghold forecasted for Amanullah are Peshawar and Abbottabad.
