Govt fails to form standing bodies after 5 months
Ministers and big groups in the government are playing major role in this regard.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Five months have lapsed but the government could not form standing committees whose function is to draw law drafts and review expenditures of ministers, assess administrative policy and public issues.
Critics are of the view that every minister wants to appoint his favourite person as head of these committees.
There are rumours that Chaudhry Nisar and Ishaq Dar groups have come into being in this regard.
The government is of the view that it wants to select chairperson of committees after reflection but internal clashes and contradictions and groupings have become stumbling blocks in their ways.
That is the main reason of delay in formation of these standing committees.
