ECP decides dates for local bodies polls
Election Commission has directed the provinces to finalize arrangements for the elections.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) The Election Commission says the schedule for local bodies elections will be issued on fifth of next month.
This was decided at a meeting of the commission held in Islamabad under Acting Chief Election Commissioner Justice Tasadduq Hussain today. Provincial Election Commissioners also attended.
The Commission directed the provinces to finalize arrangements for the elections.
The local bodies’ elections in Sindh will be held on 27th of next month‚ while Punjab and Balochistan had agreed to conduct the elections on 7th of December.
Khyber Pakhtyunkhwa and Islamabad Capital Territory have not given any date for the polls.
