ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf chairman Imran Khan has declared GST on electricity as Jagga tax. Schemes above tax are only for the rich. 

He pledged to table a bill in the National Assembly and emphasize to adopt simplicity.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Friday, he said that more than three million rich people do not pay taxes and regrettable is this that FBR is fully aware of this shameful situation.

He said that such tax evaders are also among those who are running the government.

PTI chairman was also of the view that the government forcibly can collect taxes from such peoples who are exploiting the rights of people in the name of so-called rules and regulations.

Giving reference to the foreign countries trip, he said rulers are unscrupulously spending national exchequer on useless activities.

He also demanded of the government to take back GST tax on electricity.

Imran also pinpointed that the government had promised to stop electricity and tax theft of Rs 900 billion but it could not honour its words.
