SIALKOT (Web Desk) – In another LoC ceasefire violation, Indian forces continued unprovoked firing in Charwah Sector near Sialkot, injuring two civilians.

Chenab Rangers said India continues unprovoked firing along the working boundary and Pakistan side is exercising maximum restraint to avoid any escalation.

Briefing newsmen in Sialkot‚ Sector Commander Chenab Rangers Brig. Mateen Ahmad Khan said they are only carrying retaliatory fire in self defence.

He said Indian Border Security Force has been targeting houses‚ mosques and other infrastructure‚ martyring a soldier and a civilian while injuring fourteen others during the last week.

Later‚ the media persons visited affected villages and witnessed the damages caused by the Indian BSF.

In most cases, India or Pakistan accuses the other of initiating the fighting. Both sides, however, have acknowledged an increase in the number of cross-border attacks since the Pakistani and Indian prime ministers met for their first face-to-face meeting last month in New York and agreed on the need to reduce tensions.
