Peshawar bus blast: Police prepare initial investigation report
Death toll rises to 19 as another injured person succumbed to his injuries.
PESHAWAR (Dunya news) – Police have prepared initial investigation report of yesterday’s blast inside government employees’ bus that killed at least 19 people.
Bus Driver and conductor was also arrested after the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, most of the government employees boarded the bus from Peshawar Cantonment while some civilians were picked from Charsadda Road.
Police have suspected that alleged terrorist could be among the passengers who left the bus after placing a bomb underneath the seat.
Most of those killed were sitting near the back of the bus, where the explosion occurred, or on top of it.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, a policeman said.
The bombing came less than a week after a suicide attack on a Christian church in Peshawar killed 85 people, triggering angry street demonstrations by Christians across Pakistan.
