Farrukh Nadeem is accused of receiving Rs 1.5 million in a land transfer case.

(Web Desk) - Farrukh Nadeem, a serving magistrate in Islamabad, has been arrested by police today (Friday) on the charges of receiving bribe of 1.5 million rupees in a land transfer case.

The arrest was made on the order of Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The court also cancelled Farrukh Nadeem’s protective bail granted by Lahore High Court.

According to the corruption case, registered with the FIA in June this year, Javed sold five kanals to Wallayat Khan Abbasi in Mora Noor, a suburb of Islamabad in 1991.

The complainant alleged that instead of transferring the land in the name of buyer, Javed withheld the land in connivance with the then tehsildar, who is now magistrate (Saddar) of Islamabad, Farrukh Nadeem after bribing him with Rs1.5 million.

Recently Javed, again with the support of magistrate Nadim and patwari Aseem, reclaimed five kanals which he had sold to Abbasi in 1991.

At this Abbasi approached the FIA against the fraud and requested registration of FIR against Javed, the magistrate and patwari.
