Only parliamentary leaders invited to APC: Pervaiz Rashid
Information Minister says Sheikh Rashid and Ijazul Haq have not been invited to the conference.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said only parliamentary leaders have been invited to the All-Party Conference to be held in Islamabad tomorrow.
In an interview‚ he said the complaint of Pakistan People s Party leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim is unjustified‚ as the party s parliamentary leader Syed Khurshid Shah has been invited to the conference.
It may be added that the PPP had objected that Makhdoom Amin Fahim has not been invited to the conference.
Information Minister said Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Ijazul Haq‚ who have won only one seat each‚ have also not been invited to the conference.
The government is all set to hold APC tomorrow at the Prime Minister House to evolve a consensus on a national security policy to deal with terrorism and to discuss proposals for talks with the Taliban.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan have talked to senior political leaders by phone and extended invitations.
