Pakistan wants peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue: Zardari

President Zardari praises the Hurriyat leadership for highlighting case of the people of Kashmir.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan remained committed to finding a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue extending all political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri brethren in their just demand for their legitimate right.

The President was speaking to 35 member’s delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Friday. Prime Minister AJK Chaudhry Abdul Majeed was also preset during the meeting.

Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the President said that people of Kashmir had rendered huge sacrifices for upholding their dignity and freedom, pleading for equity and justice and the fulfillment of the promise for the effective exercise of their right to self-determination.

President Zardari praised the efforts of the Hurriyat leadership for highlighting the case of the people of Kashmir at various international forums.

The APHC delegation thanked the President and previous democratic government for Pakistan’s continued support to the people of Jammu & Kashmir in their just struggle for self-determination.
