Election Tribunal cancels PK Chitral result
The Election Commission has been ordered to recount votes from PK 90 Chitral after 10 days.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) Election Tribunal has cancelled the result of PK 90 Chitral, with the direction to recount votes in the same month.
The defeated candidate of PPP Sardar Hussain had moved an election petition, with the stance that authorities had not counted votes honestly as he lost election only by a few votes.
The petitioner also requested to the tribunal that recounting of votes should be arranged in his constituency so that the situation may be clear.
It is worthy of note that All Pakistan Muslim League’s candidate Ghulam Muhammad had succeed by having 10,848 votes while PPP candidate, the petitioner, had secured 10,841 votes.
Election Tribunal judge Shah G Rehman while setting aside the previous polls has ordered the election commission to recount votes on September 12.
