Four killed, four injured in Quetta firing

At least four persons were killed and four others injured in firing at Masjid Road on Monday.
QUETTA (Dunya News) - A trader of electronic market namely Raza was on his way with two of his fellow traders after closing his shop before Iftar, when some unidentified persons opened firing at his car killing all four on the spot and injuring four others.
Panic gripped the area after the firing while the wounded were shifted to hospital where two of them were reportedly in critical condition.
Police and FC personnel cordoned off the area after the incident; however, no accused could be arrested.
The traders’ community, protesting against the incident, expressed its dissatisfaction over security arrangements.
Meanwhile, Hazara Democratic Party has announced a shutter-down strike in the city on Tuesday and Tehreek Nifaz-e-Jafria has announced three-day mourning in Balochistan.
PM Nawaz Sharif and Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik have taken notice of the incident and ordered immediate arrest of the culprits.
The Hazara minority in Quetta is reported to be the victim of persecution and violence for the last many years.
At least 2,000 Hazara men, women and children have lost their lives and more than 1000 have been injured in Quetta in the recent years.
Extremist militant group, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, is assumed to be behind the attacks against Hazaras.
