Corps Commanders discuss security situation

The 162nd Corps Commanders� Conference was held at General Headquarters on Tuesday.
RAWALPINDI (Online) - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani chaired the meeting. The conference was part of routine monthly meetings in which Commanders of different corps of Pak Army and Principal Staff Officers working in GHQ participated.
The forum dwelt at length on various professional matters. The meeting also under took a comprehensive review of prevalent internal and external security situation of the country.
It would be pertinent to mention here that Corps Commanders’ Conference is taking place on such a juncture when the report of Abbottabad Commission regarding presence of Osama bin Ladin in Pakistan and USA’s clandestine operation was released to international media.
The report not only stated the failure of those organizations, responsible for security but also raised many questions regarding security.
