Dunya News team manhandled by KTH doctors
Doctors on Khyber Teaching Hospital baton charged Dunya News team.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The media team of Dunya News, consisting of a reporter and cameraman, were assaulted and abused by the doctors of Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar on Friday as they arrived to cover news of a policeman’s killing.
The doctors not only prevented the team from covering the event but also attacked and abused Dunya News reporter Samin Jan.
The policeman was killed in a shooting incident in Pishta Khara area of Peshawar today.
As the team entered the hospital, angry relatives of the policeman gathered around them to lodge their complaint against the negative behavior of the hospital staff, and their dissatisfaction regarding the medical facilities.
As the reporter started registering the comments, doctors of orthopedic ward encircled the team and ordered them to stop covering the complaints by the relatives.
On resistance, the doctors manhandled the team and pushed them out of the hospital.
Dunya News tried to contact provincial health minister Shaukat Yousafzai, however, he refused to comment over the issue.
