ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court has reserved its verdict in treason case against former President General Pervez Musharraf on Thursday.

Earlier, Musharraf expressed his reservations over the court trial to be held against him following government s move to proceed with treason case.

Musharraf submitted a written statement over the government s reply in treason case, stating that he had reservations over the judiciary and the current government besides his on-going media trial.

Musharraf s counsel submitted a five-page statement as three-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, headed by Jawwad S Khawaja, began hearing of the treason case against the former ruler.

Despite the case in the court, Musharraf s media trial was being carried out, the statement added.

It also said that the former ruler had apprehensions that he would not get a fair trial from the current judiciary.

Meanwhile, he pleaded the court to consider his statement before announcing its decision.
