Camp Jail staff tortures Dunya News crime reporter
Usman Bhatti was performing his duty outside camp Jail when the jail staff attacked him.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The staff members of Lahore Camp Jail Monday subjected the crime reporter of Dunya News and injured him.
According to reports, Usman Bhatti was busy in his professional duty when some jail officials attacked him.
Taking notice of the incident Chief Minister Punjab has ordered the Secretary Interior Punjab to present a report about the incident before 12pm Monday.
He promised that due action would taken against the persons responsible for the unfortunate incident.
Meanwhile, PUJ and other representative organizations of journalists have strongly protested the incident and have announced to stage protests rallies in case appropriate action was not taken against the culprits.
Punjab Minister for Jails has also promised to probe the incident.
President PUJ Rana Azeem said media would boycott the Punjab Assembly session if the officials involved the actions were not arrested.
Meanwhile, President PFUJ has also announced solidarity with the journalistic community.
