Operation successfully completed at BMC: Nisar
Says a joint committee will be formed to assess the damages at Quaid's Ziarat residency.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that operation has been completed at Bolan Medical Complex in Quetta resulting in killing of 4 terrorists and arrest of another one.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Saturday‚ he said 14 girl students were martyred and 19 others suffered injuries when terrorists attacked their van through remote control.
He said when the injured were brought to Bolan Medical College for treatment‚ 12 to 14 terrorists who had taken position there‚ fired upon law enforcing agencies as a result of which four FC personnel and Deputy Commissioner were martyred.
About attack on Quaid s Ziarat residency‚ he said an inquiry has already been instituted and he will present facts before the nation shortly.
He said the historic building received extensive damage in five explosions last night.
The Interior Minister said a joint committee would be formed by the federal and Balochistan governments to assess the damage and prepare recommendations for restoration of the building. He said wooden structure and furniture of the building was completely burnt but museum and rare photographs are intact.
Chaudhry Nisar said the Federal Government is approaching provinces offering to provide additional security for all national monuments.
Answering a question‚ the interior minister said those who want to resolve the issue of terrorism through dialogue; we will hold dialogue with them but those who believe in militancy‚ use of force is the option.
