PM bars govt departments from issuing felicitation ads
Prime Minister takes notice of congratulatory advertisements published by heads of govt departments.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday barred ministries and autonomous bodies from issuing congratulatory advertisements.
The Prime Minister said national wealth should not be wasted on such advertisements. He warned of strict action against those violating these directives.
The Prime Minister said the head of the department concerned would have to pay the amount spent on such advertisements.
He also sought explanation from President National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Inspector General Motorway for publishing such advertisements.
