Power shortfall exceeds 4,450MW
The total power generation is 12,150MW against a demand of 16,600MW.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – People across the country are facing worst ever electricity load shedding this summer with power shortfall exceeding 4,450MW and the duration of load shedding rising to 18 hours a day in most areas.
According to latest statistics, the total power supply is 12,150MW against a demand of 16,600MW. The gap between generation and demand has resulted into a shortfall of 4,450MW due to which loadshedding is being carried out on alternate hours.
The citizens of rural areas are facing more than 16 hours of loadshedding while in urban areas, loadshedding is being carried out for 12 hours.
