Measles claims another life
The case has been adjourned for a week.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Another child died of measles in Mandi Bahauddin on Friday. The five-year-old victim was being treated at a public hospital after contacting measles and reportedly developed complications.
Meanwhile, Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned medical superintendents of three hospitals after dozens of children succumbed to the disease.
During the hearing, the petitioner stated that dozens of children died of measles due to the delay in vaccination campaign. The petitioner requested to take stern action against negligent officials.
Expressing displeasure, the court summoned the superintendents of Jinnah, Mayo and Services hospital. The case has been adjourned for a week.
