Karachi: Abducted Pak-origin US citizen rescued
Police have rescued a Pakistan-origin US citizen during an operation in Defence Phase-II.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – According to CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy, police and CPLC conducted a joint raid in Defence Phase-II and rescued 23-year-old Ameer Hamza, a Pakistan-origin US citizen, after an encounter with his abductors.
Ahmed Chinoy further informed that Ameer Hamza was kidnapped from Boot Basin area on May 14 and the abductors were demanding Rs 20 million for his release.
Sources said that three accused were killed during encounter with police while two others, including a woman, were arrested.
