Members of parliamentary committee optimistic are about reaching consensus on interim set-up.

 

The last meeting of parliamentary committee on the caretaker set-up will be held today. According to sources, parliamentary committee will succeed in finalizing name of interim PM name today.

 

Sources said that the eight-member committee is likely to reach agreement on the nomination of Dr Ishrat Hussain for the post and he will be sworn-in as caretaker prime minister at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in the evening.

 

On the conclusion of the meeting on the second day, parliamentary committee belonging to coalition government called on Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to apprise him of the proceedings of the meeting.

 

The sources further said that in case of Dr Ishrat Hussain appointment as caretaker PM, the PML-N will be able to bring their own caretaker chief minister in Punjab.
