Karachi: Protest against trader's killing
Protesters burnt tyres and blocked Super Highway.
KARACHI (Dunya News) Sabzi Mandi traders’ staged protest on the Super Highway against the killing of a vegetable laden vehicle driver Abdul Ghafoor.
Traders, truck drivers and shopkeepers staged a sit-in by placing the body of the deceased on the Super Highway and blocked traffic, forcing a long queue of loading trucks, passenger buses and all sorts of vehicles.
However after assurance of action against the perpetrators, the traders ended their sit-in protest and the held up traffic was restored.
