Shia organisations end sit-ins end after govt assurances

Decision was taken after talks between sit-in leaders and govt delegation led by Kaira.


QUETTA (Dunya News):-Parliamentary delegation headed by Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira held talks with the heads of the Hazara community and Shia leaders.

 

Governor Balochistan was also part of the delegation.


Talking to media persons after the negotiations, Qamar Zaman Kaira said almost all the demands of leaders of sit-in had been accepted.


He said targeted operation had already been started at the orders of the prime minister in which four top terrorists were killed and seven others arrested.


A large quantity of arms and ammunition has also been recovered during the operation.

 

“Operation will continue till the required objectives are achieved,” he said.

 

Kaira requested the Hazara community to start the burial of the dead.

 

On the occasion Allama Amin Shaheedi said government had accepted most of the demands of the Hazara community and a committee would be formed to see that government fulfils its promises.

 

Allama Ameen Shaheedi of Majlis-e-Wahadatul Muslimeen said countrywide sit-ins are being ended and protestors should disperse peacefully.
