The police have failed to restore peace in Karachi.


KARACHI: At least four people including a doctor have been killed during the recent spate of violence of Karachi while 15 suspects and two alleged dacoits have been taken into custody during targeted operation by police, Dunya news reported on Sunday.

 

One person was gunned down in Azizabad. Unidentified men opened firing on a clinic in Haseenabad, injuring 50-year-old doctor. The doctor succumbed to injuries while he was being treated at a hospital.

 

Another person was shot dead for offering resistance during dacoity at his house near Shafiq chowk.

 

Meanwhile, police conducted targeted operation in Orangi town and SITE area of Karachi, arresting more than 15 suspected persons.

 

Two dacoits were also nabbed during an alleged encounter at Shahrah-e-Faisal.
