Militant clash in Khyber tribal region kills 5

PESHAWAR: An intense gun-battle erupted between two banned militant groups in Khyber Agency’s Tirah Valley on Thursday, with at least five militants killed in today’s clash.

 

As many as 80 suspected militants have been killed during the ongoing clash that started a week ago.

 

Officials said the death toll was likely to increase as the fighting had not yet ended.

 

Meanwhile, curfew has been imposed in Bara and Jamrod Shah Kas area while orders have been given to shoot those who try to violate the curfew rules.
