Hereditary politics must come to end: Altaf
Says MQM will hold a public meeting in Punjab the biggest ever in country’s history.
ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday said only his party would be able to transform the fate of the country adding that his party was a victim of negative propaganda.
While addressing a special program namely ‘Tanzeem e Nau’ arranged by the MQM in Islamabad, he said that that country is passing through a crucial period and politicians are not taking the issues seriously and soberly.
Furthering his statement, he said that nobody would be allowed to derail the caravan of democracy which has been restored by uncountable sacrifices.
Hussain said the MQM would soon hold a public meeting in Punjab which he said would be the biggest in the country’s history.
He said that the society has been divided into two sections; haves and have nots. Autocracy is making merriments on the behalf of the poor who are real force of production while the downtrodden have been left at the mercy of fate.
He pledged that MQM would remove the gap between the privileged classes and the wretched of earth by exterminating the feudal system from the country for ever.
The MQM chief said the trend of hereditary politics would no longer continue, adding that the root of Pakistan’s problems was the corruption in its political culture, politics of inheritance and the feudal system.
He said the MQM represented 98 per cent of the country’s population which was vulnerable and that his party was a victim of negative propaganda.
Altaf said that the MQM would break the status quo and bring about a peaceful revolution through ballot box.
Law and order issues were created in Karachi whenever MQM tried to convey his message to the people of Punjab, he said.
Hussain said that MQM would produce remarkable results in the general elections
Hussain also congratulated the MQM candidates who won uncontested the by-elections for four Sindh Assembly seats in Karachi.
