Government to issue arms license to school guards: Law Minister
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah says that arms license to the private schools security guards will be issued by the government, reported Dunya News. A meeting chaired by Law Minister decided that private schools which had hired security guards would submit applications with Additional Home Secretary for issuance of weapons license. However license of prohibited weapons will not be issued. It will be compulsory for private security guards to take training from Elite Police Training School. The meeting also proposed that traffic should be made one-way on schools opening and closing times on those busy roads where schools were located.
