Qadri's march: Malik again warns of terrorist attack

Rehman Malik says Saifullah Bakiri, TTP or other terrorists' outfits may target the participants.

 

ISLAMABAD: Talking to media here on Wednesday night, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that the long marches are not launched in luxury vehicles but on foot.


He said if any child dies of pneumonia or cold the FIR would be registered against Tahirul Qadri because he was using the innocent people as his shield.


He said that the federal government had provided 50,000 commandoes for Qadri’s security and the Punjab government also provided security for the long march.


Rehman Malik said that he will provide the details of videos and funds received by Tahirul Qadri tomorrow.


He said that 170 participants of the long march had been shifted in different hospitals as they got fever after staying in the cold.


Malik said he welcomed the ten points of the opposition parties. He said that the present government came into power with the people’s mandate and it will complete its tenure.


The interior minister said that all the political parties have termed the sit-in of Tahirul Qadri as unconstitutional.


Meanwhile, Rehman Malik once again offered Tahirul Qadri to hold talks with the government.
