PML-N has said that long march of Dr Qadri has collapsed in the very first phase of its struggle.

ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader and spokesman of Punjab government Senator Pervez Rashid has said that Dr Tahir ul Qadri should stay within the system to bring a change and contest the general elections, adding that the long march show has flopped.

Talking to media on Monday, Pervez Rashid said the long march of Dr Tahir ul Qadri has failed as Qadri had claimed to mobilise four million but only managed to gather 4000 people from Lahore.

He said that the long march has lost its essence and Ch Shujaat and Pervez Elahi would hold the farce of negotiations with Dr Qadri to save his honour after which Qadri would announce his success.

The Senator said that Tahir ul Qadri should participate in the elections and come to parliament with people’s mandate and bring a change by staying in the system.

With regards to implementation of Governor Rule in Balochistan, the PML-N leader said that his party was not taken into confidence regarding the imposition of Governor Rule; rather they were just informed.

He said that situation of law and order in Balochistan and Karachi is the equal which required extraordinary action for restoration of peace and progress.

Regarding care taker government, he said that dialogue would be held with government and other parties regarding the formation of care taker government after announcement of dates of general elections.
