PCNS issues recommendations on missing persons issue
Parliamentary body on national security issued 15 recommendations on the issue of missing persons.
The Parliamentary Committee on National Security recommended that the Chief Justices of Supreme Court and High Courts should set up special benches for hearing of cases of missing persons.
The Parliamentary body has adopted fifteen recommendations relating to missing persons including establishment of a National Commission for Human Rights.
Its meeting was held in Islamabad on Tuesday with Senator Mian Raza Rabbani in the chair.
It recommended that the Chief Justices of Supreme Court and High Courts should set up special benches for hearing of cases of missing persons.
The Security Agencies would make arrests in accordance with the law and action would be taken against any official violating law or the Constitution.
