Karachi: Target killing claims two more lives
Activist of a religious party and his daughter were shot dead in firing incident near Aisha Manzil.
According to details, some unidentified gunmen riding on motorcycles opened fire on the car of Maulana Asghar of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat near Aisha Manzil area in Karachi.
The car collided with a poll after the attack, killing Maulana Asghar and his two-year-old daughter Zainab and wounding his elder daughter, eight-year-old Dua.
Police reached the sight of the incident after half an hour. The SHO Gulberg has termed it an incident of target killing. The dead and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Meanwhile, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat spokesman Maulana Akbar Saeed has termed the incident as an act of terrorism and demanded of the government to arrest the culprits.
