Karachi: Firing on New Year claims one life
Aerial firing during New Year celebration has claimed life of a man in Karachi.
According to details, aerial firing was reported from different parts of Karachi as soon as the clocks hit midnight to mark the New Year.
Firing was reported from Gulistan Jauhar, Malir, Korangi, Defence, Gulshan Iqbal and North Karachi, killing one person and causing injuries to 16 others, including two women.
Meanwhile, two youth were killed in a road accident in Bohrapir area when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle. Residents gathered at the sight after the accident and torched the truck.
