SC reserves verdict in CNG price case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has reserved its verdict in the CNG price case.
The apex court will announce its decision on Friday.
Earlier, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja remarked that it had not issued any stay order pertaining to CNG.
A two-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Jawad S Khawaja heard the CNG price case on Thursday. The court directed OGRA to carry on its work.
Justice Khawaja remarked that five years had passed but CNG station owners had not fulfilled their terms.
Apprising the court, secretary petroleum said a committee headed by law minister had been formed in the meeting held over the CNG issue. He said the government was also concerned over this serious matter.
Counsel of CNG association Sindh, Wasim Sajjad contended that the court should order OGRA to fix appropriate CNG prices.
